after a looong time of not blogging.. had a thought today during church that i found to be quite interesting.
Lord everyday, I need You more

a song we were singing in church, several times, i might add.. and this line really caught my attention. thus the thought: it seems like everything nowadays makes us want to become more independent, empowered people. Study hard! so you can earn to support yourself and your family. Go overseas! so you can learn to be independent. Pray that God will bless you and empower you to live a victorious life!
Well, maybe these aren't exactly wrong things to do. But knowing God (i believe) somehow doesn't make you more powerful or independent. Instead, as we get to know God, we become even more helplessly dependent. On Him, of course :)

woohooo~ been super long since the last time i've posted here :P
(taking a break from msn and fb, so am resorting to the lesser evil of blogging.. heh.. not to mention youtube, ugly betty episodes and fallout 3..)
it's in some ways preparation for YF retreat next week.. really looking forward to chilling w/ fellow YFers and especially looking forward to quiet time(s) spent with God.
anyways, holidays are here! it's really nice to be able to chill and rest after 1 or rather 2 semesters of hectic activity..
btw, if any of ya'll read this, thanks for the lovely surprise last week! :)
